A red 98 or 99 SS with white interior. Strange combination. I've never seen or even heard of this combo before. It looked interesting - one of those things that kinda grows on you the more you look at it.

It would have looked better except that the seats were HORRIBLY dirty. It was at a dealer, too. You'd think they would have cleaned it a little better.

I'd think this would be a rare combination. Anyone have one?

I'll have to wait until this weekend when it's closed. Can't stand being hassled when I'm just looking.

There is a 98 SS Vert at a local dealer in NJ, Red w/ white interior and white top. Awesome combination!

FYI, white interiors were offered until the 99 model year and could be had on coupe or convertible. The Firebirds only offered white interiors on vert's.

Ok, here goes. I had to get a PCV valve for my truck today, so I took my camera along, too. Even risked dealing with the dreaded salesman, all because I love you guys ;) The car was locked, so I did the best I could. I just don't love y'all enough to go looking for a salesman :D

In most of the pics, it looks orange but trust me, it's red. On the front shot, it looks red, though. Enjoy.

I don't know if I like it or not. I guess LS1_Disicple was right, the more you see it the more it grows on you. I would agree that it is a rare color combination. :D

Trust me, it's red. The camera just makes it look kinda orange. Red is a very hard color to capture correctly on a digital picture. But my eyes can definitely tell the difference. The car is very, very red.

Here's an HO for comparison (although not taken by me)

Since we're on the subject, does anyone have any recommendations for capturing the red better?

Get it during a different time of day with slightly less direct sunlight hitting the paint. If I take a pic of mine during noon time with the sun shining bright, it always looks Hugger. If I take it when the sun is going down and not as direct, it comes out more red. If I take a pic of it on a cloudy day, it makes the red look dull and 20 years old. :(

It's just all in the lighting.

Best time of the day for pics is in the evening, while the sun is still out but on its way down. That way you still have good lighting but its not too intense like Scotty-Z said
