question #1- best set of headers for a 2002 4.8...and i heard the asm headers have to be modified to fit??
question #2- how long does the install take, we just spend 9 hours in stalling long tubes on a 03 cobra , looking at mine it looks really easy , like the only thing i need to do is disconnect the subframe and steering coloum donesnt even look like i need to take off the tires but probably do
question #3- prices on long tubes or midlength

long tubes gonna run you about 600- 800 dollars depending on who you go with.
not sure on the install, havnt done it. but i pretty sure there is some fabricating that must be done to the exhaust.
the only modification that I know of and its for all, is that you have to move the cats and have flanges welded on to your exhaust pipe where it meets up to the headers.

If price is no object, the FLP/Supermax headers from Dynatech are the best on fit and finish from what I have heard. They also offer a y-pipe with the kit so you dont have to hack on your stock y-pipe but you can get the headers only too. ASM's are good headers. They had some fitment issues when they first came out but I believe they have been resolved. I have two friends with ASMs and neither of them had fitment issues. The TOGs are really good headers from what I hear as well but have not experience with them. I have Hamm's on mine but they are no longer made. However Dean LaPole makes a set almost identical to mine. These that I listed will run you from 550-1200.
If you can install longtubes on a Cobra, you should have no problem with the truck. Pretty much a straight swap. Just drop the y-pipe, swap the headers in then modify you y-pipe to fit back with the longtubes. Only thing that has to be removed except for the parts you are replacing is the dipstick.
