My car wouldn't idle properly...why?

I reved my car up a few times to like 4 or 5K RPM at a stoplight...then after that at idle, it had a hard time finding the idle, and it would drop to 400-500rpm and almost stall....did this for a few minutes, I went to park and let it sit and it eventually went back to 750.

You could possibly crack a valve spring or retainer doing that (high revs) ... I would be careful if your idle stays like that I would remove the valve covers and have a look :(

twice mine has had a weird idle - turning the car off then starting it back up fixed it. i'm assuming the pcm got confused. does your car still act up or is it back to normal?

A few minutes after, after I just sat and let it idle, the idle returned to normal, and I shut it off...hopefully it's allright.

I'll see tommorow if there's any problems. Thanks for the help all you guys.
