Where is this leak coming from?
Thread (http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5658)
GM black rubber pan gaskets are good and far better than cork. Napa is another local supplier that may have them in that style. Your leak may be from the tailhousing seal, the output seal, the front seal, front pump seal, the pan, the vent, or the shift selector. So you should generally start by cleaning it up, starting the car on stands and seeing exactly where the leak is coming from
Install Procedure for a Converter?

Read that thread, and pay attention to the "spin & push" stuff especially.
Driveshaft same as M6?
Yes. F-bodies have had aluminum and steel shafts since the 1980s. The important part is that a T5, T56, 700-R4 / 4L60-E equipped f-body all have the same length shaft.
