Does anyone have an photos of LCDs (not recievers with LCDs, stand alone displays) installed in the dash?? I'm looking at doing a computer system in car and am at loss on how to install the display.. Main thing is, I dont know if there'll be enough space with the air controls there..

have you looked at some of sun visor lcds? some have montior connection besides the regular A/V connects

what are you using as your other components?

I'm contemplating the same thing...

To be honest, Im not sure what else Im going to use.. I found a 7in touch screen that I want to put in place of the radio.. I would have to do some work on the radio bezel, but I think it MIGHT fit.. I would love to relocate the AC controls, but have no idea how or where I would do that.

it is pretty easy to relocate ac controlls to glove box then take the radio bezel and mold the screen to it;)

The may be old school, but do the AC controls run off of cables or electrical??? I remember on my old TA, the HOT/COLD and VENT select were on cables, but the fan speed was electrical..

hmm ok.. I'll have to take a look at it.. Seems like a bit much for what I want to do, but may be my only option.. I've got the dimensions of the touchscreen by itself.. I MAY be able to install it if I make a fiberglass bezel.. its 169mm (w) x 106mm (h) (6.65in x 4.17in).. The width is fine, the height is going to be a problem.

Any ideas?

I stole this from the "Post Pics of your Rides" thread in this forum. It isn't the cleanest looking install but i don't believe it is complete. It will give you an idea of what to do and you can see that relocating the climate controls down to the bottom is possible

Yeah, I saw that.. Two problems though.. First, I dont want to cut my center console.. 2nd, his center console is a 97+ TA (I believe).. I have a 96 TA.. On the 97+ the front portion of the console has more space..

Im curious though as to what size that screen is.. I think if I take that bezel off, there is enough space from top to bottom to fit the screen.. I'll just have to make some other type of bezel.. Im not going to keep the stock stereo.. If I do, I'll probably get a removeable face and just mount the face in the sun visor.
