I see a lot of vendors and transmission shops offer stage 2 and 3 4L60E's. I was just wondering if anybody has beefed up their own, and which parts were worth it versus which ones weren't.
I've been doing a little parts research on Transmissioncenter.net, but I'm not sure what to get.

I'm going to try to start out putting something together that will handle (1 day out of 14 in the summer only) ~550rwhp/~500rwtq.
I don't professionally race the car, just have a lot of fun at test 'n tunes :D :drive:

Man, I can't tell you how much I'd like to...
But I just dumped every penny I have (and then some) into a full blown heads/cam/oil pump/water pump/etc... job, and don't have anything beyond about $8 worth of bottle and can money right now:help: I think I'll be ok as long as I leave the nitrous bottle closed.

The reason I ask about building one, is because a friend of mine has been building transmissions for about 13 years, and will help me do it right, if I get the parts together. Just wondering what's worth putting in versus what I should skip.

Thanks for the offer though, just an example of how we can count on our sponsors
