I've e-mailed someone selling an HPP3, from his 95 Camaro. He's claiming the connector is an OBDI connector, but I was under the impression that 95 Trans-am's have the OBDII connector but OBDI Computer. Why would it work in his car yet not in mine, or is he just plain wrong about the connector? Thanks.

Some early 95 cars were built with OBD1 connectors, the rest were buit with the OBD2 connectors, even though they were OBD1 computers.
The OBD1 is about 2"wide and 1"tall with a 12 pin connector.
The OBD2 is a 16 pin connector.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to go count pins now. My car was built Jan.7/94 so I'm not sure if it's considered early or not.

No Problem,OBD1 is more of a rectangle connector where the OBD2 is an odd shape.
