I was wondering if I get a manual fan switch to turn the fans early, will it help cool down my transmission ? BTW I have a 3200 stall and a tranny cooler ? I found a deal on them for $27 shipped but wondered if it will actaully help cool my tranny ?

I have the SLP fan switch and love it. When in traffic I turn it on low when it is hot out and my tranny temp does not move. With the stall you might have to put it on high on a hot day in traffic but it does help a lot. When I turn the fans on I can really feel the air being sucked up through the radiator. Low is pretty good and high it is crazy. So to answer your question, yes, it will help to cool your tranny

To shed heat effectively, I would invest in an external cooler. To avoid over and underheating, you run to the external cooler, to the factory cooler, then back to the trans.

Do you mean a transmission cooler ? I got a B&M 28000 gvw. I mostly do city driving, and noticed that my temp was reaching ~195 degrees. I wanted to know if I get a manual fan switch to turn my fan on early will it be able to lower my trans fluid temp. My tranny cooler is mounted in front of the radiatior.

Yes, if you get a fan switch you will be able to turn on the fans early to keep the fluid cooler while you are in traffic. I have found that low will keep my temp constant, while high will lower it a little. Definately a good mod!

Ah.
Well, manual is a pain IMO. Do one that comes on with temperature.
