Hey guys I need to make my cam decision today and I was wondering about this cam... I have spoke with Seth and he reccomends this cam ........I dont want to go to small nor too big as I live in Cali and emmissions will be an issue..

Will this cam pass smog with a tune?????

Do you think its a good match for my mods?
Flowmaster exhaust
Hooker shorties
airfoil
CAI
Midwest 3200 stall 2.1 stator

Parts going in with cam:
Pro magnum 1.6 rr's NON-SA
new lifters
pushrods
valve seals
combo spring kit

Im just running stock heads probably for the year.

I have seen searches but havent seen smog brought up with this cam......

Whats your recommendations?????

Shawn

It will be close with a 114 LSA. Forget about it with a 112 LSA.

Go for it. Stock heads will help, and most definitely a good tune. Find somebody who can tune, and you'll pass the sniff test.
What year is your car?

My car is a 95...............

I actually ended up going a different direction......Im sure it wont pass either.........

I went with a custom grind that a local shop owner has had sucess with...here are the numbers

226/236 112LSA .535 / .565

He swears its a good cam and if I juice the beast which I would like to do if I find more money........He said it would respond well...

Any thoughts??

Generally, a wider LSA is better suited to juice. Cam dynamics is pretty confusing, and would require way more technical discussion than I am capable of. Phil at AI and Seth at CMotorsports would be the guys to talk to.

I am doubtful that cam will pass smog with any tune.

It looks like this cam falls right between a cc305 and a cc306...but I am sure the LSA of 112 will keep it from passing.
