Anybody know where to look/get an L98 used, but in good condition; low miles? It would be going in an 87 Vette.

Vette parts are generally more coin than the similar item out of something else, so if you go looking for something specifically for a vette, you may spend more than if you went with a more open mind (not saying you're closed at all...)

If you're wanting to stick with basically original and not mods, the parts are still available to build a GM parts L98 (shortblock & heads.)

But being as the Gen I SBC was produced from 1955 to 2002, you might wanna do some research into engines that plop right in & make a little more hp & tq.

Your goals?

I have an entire 91 vette for sale, just buy it and you can sell the 87. The 91 was last year for L98 and first year for the new bumpers. It is in exc. shape, and is cleaner than most 95-96 models. Dave

If you dont wanna buy another vette L98s also came in camaros depending upon model year you can get one with more power than your stock vette, generally you can find one with under 70k for 5,000. then you have a parts car if you happen to break anything.
