For those that read my previous post about my jegs tourqe arm, I'm in the market for a new one. I've mainly been looking at the bmr & spohn products. I hate the concept of the arm being mounted to the end of my tranny. So I've narrowed it to the bmr xtreme & the spohn with the cross brace. My car has hotchkiss springs giving it about a 1 1/2 inch drop. So clearance is an issue to keep in mind. It appears that the spohn gives a little more clearance than the bmr So I'm really leaning towards the spohn. At this point I've pretty much made up my mind to go with the spohn piece, but I wouldn't dare order something without asking the opinion of you guys here first! & I do like the fact I can install the spohn piece myself in garage. So give me happy stories & horror stories you guys have with these pieces.
Also one other concern I have, I have a currie 9" & the "pumpkin" is a bit bigger & I wonder If I might have clearance issues there as well. I really appreciate any input you guys can give.

Just to be clear on the pieces I'm talking about

Well, I'll just suggest one other option...but it is an expensive one. You might check out Yank's crossmember...it'll still allow you to run a full length torque arm, but still allow you to get it off the tailshaft housing. It is expensive, but maybe it'll give you an idea of something you could have fabbed up to work in the same manner.

Hope it helps!
