I've had my digital video camera for quite a while now and I finally got a firewire card in my computer, so I figured I'd share a sample of runs from our last visit to the drag strip.

First pass on the video is me versus a ford focus, you can see he got the jump on me, but I ran something around a 16.0 @ 87 while he ran an 18.4 something, the camera angle is a little decieving.

Second pass is me solo

Third pass I raced my friend's '85 Mustang GT... You can hear my car the best because it is in the closer of the two lanes this time.

Anyhow, the video is 6.6 Mb so it's not that bad.

This video was taken before my cam install. I will definitely get my next trip on tape as it should be a bit more impressive.

Edit: I'd just like to say in my defense, I pulled a 2.3-2.4 second 60' on all of these runs... the tires are almost bald and not very sticky.

It was about 85 degrees out and if you notice I'm trapping @86-87 MPH... I was running bald Gforce KDW's also... we'll see in the spring though, I'm getting some nittos for next season as well...

 I did better than the other guy with a third gen who was running 16.0 @98 MPH...

And yes it was everything but cam

How do you think it sounds there?

well yea...but obviously that 3rd gen couldn't get traction or is a slow shifter :p

ET - how good the power can be put to the ground
MPH - power the car really has

Thanks... I plan to start making some cool vids next year... once I get some DR's and my exhaust fixed I should be pulling some decent times off... I'm also considering a nitrous system... we'll see.

I've always wanted to put "Turning Japanese" in a racing vid :type-r:
