What is the best way? I have access to corvette and f-body engines. What if any mounting problems will be encountered?

If a slip on the keyboard makes that much of a difference, there you go. Mabye now I could get a reply that could actually be of some help.

I'm still in the process of putting an LS1 engine into my 89 Formula. These are the sites I have found most useful so far:
www.hawksthirdgenparts.com
www.speartech.com
www.fbodymotorsports.com
I'm documenting the entire process, and will probably write an article about the the swap when I'm done.

So did you ever do the swap?
I had to fire my mechanic in January - after a full year, he had barely made any progress, and even dropping a pre-payment of $2k in his lap for labor (I already had most of the parts) didn't seem to get him moving.
So, I got my money back, fired him, and found someone else. Bruce Hawkins is now working on it. :) From all accounts, he is THE MAN for doing 3rd gen swaps if you need to hire someone else to do it.
I also switched to an LS2 shortblock with bigger cubes (see my sig). Gonna be a LOT more fun, now. Needed to do something to make it worth the wait. ;)

No progress '89 t-top GTA moved to back burner. Current project 1998 sonoma sleeper with 434 small block and vortech with 4l80E O.D. But it is still in the works. Not dropped just delayed.

This forum doesn't get a lot of traffic, I take it?
I wonder how hard it would be to swap an LS2 into an LT1-driven car. :hmm:
Too bad I wouldn't be able to afford it in the near future. :o

Easiest way would be the cradle & engine and "everything else" from a 98-02 F plus the LS2 long block engine.

Yes, I'm keeping the a/c, but I'd have to notch the stock k-member in order to use it. I'm going to be using a tubular k-member & a-arms anyway, so it won't really matter for my swap.
