Ok, it is finally time to awaken the beast from hibernation.. :fluffy: Since Delco batteries are junk and tend to leak I removed mine and put it in my grandfathers old Caddy cause his died and I figured it's better to leak in his old POS then in my TA.. Anyways now I need to put a need battery in my TA and will be installing a Optima Red Top. :D

So now I'm looking for ideas for a battery cover... After a quick search these are the one's I've found posted on LS2.com. Anyone else have any other PICs?

This was "borrowed" from "BernieBlackBird" from the other board.....the stock Red plastic color was too much to look at, 3 coats of NBM and 3 coats of clear. The lettering is not perfect, it's a pain in the ass to get it looking like a real decal, but it turned out good enough for me, and at a total of $25 for all of it......you can't beat it.....

link for color matchng from Duplicolor..... http://duplicolor.anthonythomas.com/match2/match_maker.cgi

battery cover..... http://www.powerstridebattery.com/store/getstoreframe.cfm?store=frame&homepage=yes&background=blank.gif&bgcolor=white&CFID=372173&CFTOKEN=80208110=10

and the chrome tape came from AutoZone, look in the decal section....

This is the only pic I have of mine for now, but it's pretty simple. I didn't want to over do it.

Says 1999 Camaro SS SLP #342

I will get better pics of it.

I did the cheap thing...I have an Optima Red Top and peeled the labels...cleaned with WD40 to shine up. Looks good in a Black compartment...have the Red Hotchkiss Strut Bar coming to add a little more red to the compartment...new to this so I have to figure out how to post a photo!

The MBA ones are very nice and expensive but if I like to have a more personalized one so I made my own from stainless steel and had the decals custom made. Use your inagination and make your own to your style.:)
