A while ago I read somewhere about some of you guys putting some type of hose on the rear springs to keep the rake of the car so the rear doesn't look lower then the front... anyone have anymore info on this? I couldn't find anything searching around.
Thanks!

Well, there are some options you can try to consider...
If you aren't using the factory rubber spring isolator, you can try putting that back in to get it to sit higher, and if you are, you can try putting some more rubber on top of it to raise it back up to where you want it.
If you want something thinner, I'd recommend getting some spring isolators from Jegs that are made for Mustangs...they are made from Polyurethane, but are very thin, so don't expect much help from them.

just take some garden hose and slip it over the ends of it...

If you have access to a lathe or know someone who does you can make some spacers to go under the springs which is what I did. My ride height hasn't changed, they sat lower then advertised when I installed them.

Hmmm garden hose seems like a nice cheap idea!
Does it fit ok though? Seems like the hose is too big for the spring and would slide around. Maybe my hose is just too big!
:D

I believe most people that use the hose trick are using the factory springs with the garden hose minus the factory isolators, which will drop it some but not as much as the pro kit springs. I could be mistaken, but I haven't heard of anyone using hose with the factory isolators. I considered this but couldn't see how it would work too well. I still like my custom spacer trick the best. ;)

Still ''nary a sag with the 6 million or so pro kits I've installed...I guess we're just lucky ;)

I think the sag theory is a myth. Mine dropped a full 2" in the rear the day I installed them and 1 1/2" in the front. This tends to look about right on the firebirds but a little low in the back for the camaros imo.

I've never had a set sag. They sit low (I wish they were taller, but that's easy to fix vs. having what I feel are too stiff springs), but I've never had a set "get lower".
I've had customers *think* they have for various reasons, all of which were incorrect though. One guy installed different brand tires that were wider and contacted his fender lips, and assumed the car must be lower. It wasn't the old tires didn't rub. Another slapped about 100 pounds of stereo stuff in the car, which naturally lowers it from the height it was before, but when it as removed the height was the same again, etc., etc........

Actually, the Pro-Kit rears lower more than Sportlines.
I'd like to trade with some Pro's if it was convenient since I think my rear is a little too high. :(

Hmmm never heard that before... I've had the Sportlines on my car and it was just over a 2" drop all around. The Pro Kit only lowered the car around 1.2-1.5" all around.
It's not that the rear is sagging as much as I'd like to make it a little higher, so my Z06 wheels fit better back there and the car looks like it has a rake to it.

So the garden hose around the top and bottom coils would give it a little more height maybe?
Any little bit would help, so the tire doesn't rub and I don't have to beat in the fender :D I'm doing Bilstein HD's too, so maybe that'll help too.
