I used it in my car which is a 2000 and the shifting got better, it used to be hard to put in first all the time, but once we changed out the fluid, it cleared up pretty quick. the only problem i ever had was at max rpms, i cant shift into second without grinding, i have to hesistate for a second before it goes in.

Any gear-oil type lubricant is to be avoided on the trannies that run fibre type synchro linings because it will swell them. 2001-up have the carbon linings. If your 2000 trans. has been gone through before, it may have linings that are fine with the gear-oil type lubes as well. If you're already running it, either your synchros are impervious to it, or the damage is done, so enjoy it until problems arise would be my advice.

dexron iii is common as hell. should be < 2$ qt. I think. (I'm trying to remember, but I buy cases, not qts.)

what are your mods? i have trouble shifting into gear at high rpm as well, i believe its because i need a different master cylinder. ive told numerous other people here on the board that if they are interested i would try to put together a gp on a mcleod adj. master cylinder. Let me know if you are interested.

the reason i wouldnt think it would be the syncros is because it should happen at any rpm, not just high rpm. when you go to shift at high rpm, the clutch has trouble disengaging because of the centrifigal force putting pressure on the fingers of the clutch, cause it not to fully disengage. That could be the problem. :dunno:

yeah i think its def clutch related and not tranny related. Because even if i try to shift just as fast at lower rpm, it will chirp. I mean i shift at around 5k, but usually after that it will grind
