So far so good. I have only put about 20 miles on it but chatter is very minimal. Im 100% sure it will go away completely with some more miles. Cras seems to accelarate smoother compared to the burnt out stock clutch. Other than that Ill update in a few days

I can't wait til I can get a new clutch in mine. I have been driving for a year on a slipping clutch. :(

Be sure to post back in this thread when your "C" word stops. I'm not ragging on you I just want to know if the C goes away and if it does, how long did it take to clear up.

Sadly mine never went away with my Stage III... over 9k later and still "Cing" like day one.

i have 30k on mine and love it and for the price and performance of the SPEC and the customer service from SPEC it is the only clutch we sell/install:cool:

The clutch is well worth the money. IT seems to handle the loads quite well. There are trade-offs in everything on our cars. It all depends on what you can accept as a trade-off to make the choice. If I were racing the car, I'd go for the Spec3. If I were into more city driving and traffic, I go a different choice to the ClutchMaster3.
"Choice and trade-off" is the problem. Only the buyer can make the decision on "their perfect clutch". Well, that and a little thing called cost. :) There isn't any shopping around if "cost" is your main limitation. If you want the lowest cost, then the Spec3 is the hands down winner.

We have also heard the "C" word on Elmers favorite clutch and i think that person is the other person who has tried the Clutchmasters set up
all in all people have to decide what clutch their car and driving styles need and what theire wallet will allow:cool:

I don't want to do a "count" to keep score on the clutchmaster. I will say this. I use it. It is perfectly suited to my driving norms. It has not slipped when I go to full boost. It is well behaved in city and traffic. It does not chatter, period. I can keep my foot off of the gas and slowly release the clutch and pull smoothly up to idle without ANY chatter.
Now, buy anything that you like. If it works for you, swell, report it on here for the world to read. If it doesn't work perfect, report that too.
I'm done with the chatter debate. I haven't been mean to other clutches; I've simply repeated what I read.

I bought the Stage III in anticipation of building the car in the near future, but have since redefined my goals and realize now that the Stage III clutch is far too aggressive for what I desire.
In terms of the dreaded "C", I'm unhappy with it to the point that when I graduate in less than two months I think I'm going to pull it out and get rid of it for something more friendly based on the driving that I do with the car.
