Not sure if you guys have seen this or not. Found this while drooling at some beautiful pics of the C6. This really caught my eye, the C6 ZL1 = :zoom:

there were rumors, but it seems to have died off. They were going to make a 600hp supercharged or twin turbo 7.0 motor along with a 6spd smg trans. Probably was going to get CF pannels and cost upwards of 80k.

Wow, that would pretty much eliminate all competition in the area of Ford ( new GT 40 ) and the " super cars " of Europe, and Saleen S7 too. Giving Chevy some real bragging rights and really putting it on the top. I understand not to many people would buy them, except maybe racing teams, but then they could just buy a base vette or the Z06 and just turn it into that. If you know someone who does work with Carbon Fiber it's not as expensive, just takes time and skill, but imagine the weight savings and such.
Dont forget, im crazy when it comes to the ultimate performance ideas. Just too bad i dont have the money to make them all come to life...Yet :drive:

I hope you are seriously joking.
The GT is rated at 500hp. And from all reports it is dynoing more than that, with one saying that the one they put on the dyno made 565rwhp(spinning on the dyno) but these are test car numbers. Also the Saleen S7 and GT will probably still hold the road a tiny bit better than the vette. Mid-engine cars have some advantages in the handling department.

The GT is 3500lbs, and if there was a blue devil, it would outpower the 550hp GT, be lighter, and handle better...so yeah, the GT would be crapping itself. I want to see said dyno as I know you ford guys can run your mouth without backing it up. Show me data, or its BS.

Their is no blue devil and probably never will be. So it is all speculation/bs as to if it would handly better or have more power. I could say well in 3014 Ford is coming out with a car that will pull 100+g's on the skidpad and run 1 sec quarter miles and it would about amount to the same thing as referring a Blue Devil in any arguement. Where is the proof the Blue Devil is being made? The only thing I have ever seen said somebody up top pretty much dismissed the idea of making the car.
And I hardly ever see you with proof of anything. More-or-less just word-of-mouth from "engineneers" and stuff you claim to know.
But here is your link.http://www.mustangweekly.com/2004/march/news/n03-6-3rd.asp
Made 565rwhp spinning on the dyno.<---- This was a test mule so I don't expect to see production models making those numbers. Probably in production you might see 500-525rwhp.

agreed. Ford fans think that only Ford can make supercars. Its easy to imagine a 500hp Mustang, but when you say that there will be a 575hp Corvette, the BS flags are waved high.

I was just quoting Bob Lutz sayin they were not making it. He could be lying to surprise everyone with it. But he did say that their was no Blue Devil in the plans.
Like I said it is pointless to argue about a car that is not even in production yet.

weren't people throwing the BS flag around a lot when rumors of the "Terminator" was in the works? maybe the same could happen here
