You might have better luck in the suspension forum, but I'll just recommend giving Sam Strano a call...chances are, he'll recommend a 35mm hollow bar up front and either the stock 19mm or an upgraded hollow 21mm bar in the back.

35mm front /19mm rear is a popular combo

there is a guy selling a 24 mm solid rear sway bar for 80 bucks shipped on here somewhere.

I have Suspention Techniques Swaybars... The will rattle the teeth out of your skull.
35mm Solid Front and 25mm Solid Rear
I take out the front one for drag racing, but the rear one keeps the car perfectly level coming out of the hole.

I'll bet they do...damn.
I definitely want a 35mm up front, but I'm not sure about the rear yet. I don't do a lot of drag racing, and it is my daily driver, so I probably won't be making a jump up to a 25mm in the rear for fear of doing just that...rattling my teeth out of my skull.

how bad is the drivability of a 24 mm solid rear sway bar with the stock front sway bar?

I running 35mm/21mm with my set up. I love it. I just switch from the 32mm to the 35mm and it was a night and day difference IMO. I hope this helps.

Your back end is gonna have a very large tendency to come around on you. If you only upgread one bar, upgread the front. Most Auto-x guys keep the stock rear swaybar. If you are gonna use it for drag racing and you wanna go crazy, I would say go with the BMR Track Swaybar. That will plant your rear and make you leave strait.

don't go too big in the back... 35/19 and 35/21 are great setups.

so 24 mm is out of the question on a daily driveR?

even for racetrack... you will lose rear grip on corners... the bar is too stiff.

I've never heard of this. Is anyone else having this problem?

Since you have stock springs, I'd recommend some sort of 35/21 type combo. Of course, I think you'd like the new Hollow 35 front, 22mm rear bars that we're having made. The rear is about the same stiffness as a solid 21mm rear, but half the weight. The front is almost as stiff as a solid 35, and is less than 14 pounds vs. 27 for the ST bar.
You could, of course start with the front bar only and judge if you need or want a rear from there too.
Honestly, I'd say what you need first and @ bare minimum is a front bar and some decent rear shocks. Then front shocks, and if you need it a rear bar.

Hey Sam:
Would you accept a return of the solid 35mm bar in exchange for the hollow one? It's still in the box......

Love to, but can't. Now that I have my own bar (which I prefer), I have not much need to have an ST bar here. And ST charges 25% restock fee if we send it back, plus the $40 to ship it back. It'd be cost prohibitive. You'd make out better in the end selling the bar outright, especially since ST is planning on raising the prices again soon.
Sorry.

What's the cost of your new bar?

What shocks/springs do you have? Hmmm.. Mine doesn't rattle my teeth. I have Hotchkis springs/Bilsteins/Global West SFC's/Hotchkis STB/Suspension Techniques 35/25 sway bars.

It's $199 plus freight (which is less than the freight on an ST bar, box is smaller, and it's lighter). Hollow tubing costs more and is harder to bend since you don't want to kink it.
I'm still waiting on the initial order of them, but they are to be ready very soon. I am not charging anyone until they are ready to ship. I do have some on my car, so this is not something that'll not end up working right. :)

Sam, would a bar like this work with my setup very well?

I've got teh same setup and love it, although it does make the rear end a bit more "slide happy" :D
But I dont really have a huge rattle problem...but it is significantly bumpier
