ok, the rear is in. took the car for a test drive. I bought this rear used, with around 1,000 miles on it. 33 splines, HD eaton, 3:73 ratio.

at 70 mph, there is a significant whine? I have read many times that this is normal for mosers. is this anything I should be worried about?

my 10 bolt with 4:10s wasnt this loud. :confused:

what do you guys think? should I worry, or just live with it and see if it gets worse?

It is probably how the gears are set. You could probably bring it to someone who knows gear installs and make sure the gears are lined up correctly.

agreed, you could / should check pattern. If it's only 1000 miles olde, it may be changable to fix the problem, but it's not for sure going to be fixed....
