You could remove it with paint thinner I would expect but you could do what I did which was sand everything smooth once again and then a couple of thin coats of primer and then my coats of paint (thin coats is the key)!! Just my $0.02

I would use the sanding method in the event off a screw up. If the paint job is good, but you don't like the color you can always go back over it with black.

1. Sand smooth (is this necessary?)
2. Shoot with one or two coats of primer?
3. One or two coats of color
4. Clear?

1.If you want ti smooth, then yes.
2.Two light coats will be fine.
3.I'd say probably 3 light coats. Just go easy on it so it doesn't run, and let it get kinda dry between each coat.
4.Clear would be good. One or two light coats with it should be enough.

Also, in between step 1 and 3, clean the piece using something like tar, wax, and grease remover (you can get it in the automotive section at walmart or any parts house)
