Without selling my firstborn or going back to work and making a small fortune, I need a plan for bigger rotors and brakes for the car. My wheels need to have larger rotors and "Show quality" calipers. Here's the kicker....

FRONT and REAR.

What are my options? I see Wilwood and Baer and Brembo but I don't see the word REAR showing up.

What are the options for the rear? I have a Strange 12 bolt hanging on the rear right now.

Willwood make a nice front and rear upgrade kit. Look into it. O yeah and your wheels looks too good. You can not have them anymore and must give them to me. LOL

I think Wilwood would be nice. If your really into RR then I'd suggest something different, but it looks like your looking for a little better performance with also having a little bling. Have you considered a C5 brake upgrade?
Another thing to consider is whatever brake kit you go with, make sure they will fit your front wheels w/o any serious modifications.

Otherwise I think Brembo, Baer, Movit, and Stoptech mainly focus on the fronts of our cars, considering thats where the majority of the work is done when it comes to braking peformance.
I say go Stoptech but then again I'm a little bias ;) :D

I dont know what you consider "selling firstborn, etc" but Baer Pro+ kit has the 13.75 front for $2500 @ thunderracing.com and then the rear kit is about $1500...4k for all around 13.5"+ rotors and 4piston calipers... is that a small fortune? :p

But those look to be 18's, so dont think you'd have clearance issues. I've got the Track Kit and want to eventually go bigger...

I noticed that Tbyrne is having a special on brakes as well.

E:) car has 19" BC Forged, IIRC.

Season my ass! You want to make 'em smoke! Admit it! Go on!

well, my search has be tedious at best. It seems no one gives a shit about the rear BUTTTTTTT we can get you 14 inch rotors and 6 piston calipers for the front and that'll look really great!! YUP! Just great...YUCK!!!

I can get (MAYBE) C5 brakes F&R for $5K Groan...

OK, I think I found a sokution but it requires quite a lot of KY Jelly. :D

Wilwood will do custom brakes on 14" X 1.375" rotors for F&R with 4 piston calipers for something in the neighborhood of $3,800 with tax and title..... Aaaaaargh!

I got my 13" 6-piston kit from them... great service.
Make sure you speak to Nigel, he's pretty knowledgeable compared to other people there... worthed to have him on the line.
As for the back, I would just leave them as is.
Putting bigger rear brakes will make the car even more prone to block the rear-wheels.

Remember that with Bigger front brakes, you allow stronger braking power, making more weight transfer to the front, allowing you to apply more brakes... but that has a drawback... it lightens the rear of the vehicule, since the weight is going to the front.
Having said that, putting bigger/stronger brakes in the back, will just make the rear-wheels lock too easily, making the ABS go in prematurely, and not letting you use the front braking-power that is available... I strongly recommend you not upgrading the rear ones... or put a very non-grippy pad in the back that will last 1,000,000 miles.

Again, if I were into autocross or road racing or drag racing every week end, I could see the problem with balance as an issue. I do none of that. My car is a show car. Single piston caliper on an 11" rotor just seems to be inadequate and dysfunctional with a 4 piston caliper and 14" rotor strapped to the front? :dunno:.
