If I get nitrous, say a 100 shot then I would have to get tuned for the gas right? But Im confused. If I get a nitrous tune then wouldnt my n/a tune be crap? Wouldnt my car runs slower n/a because the cars timing would have to be retarted for the gas? I am just confused.

Are you talking about a dry kit or a wet? Every car is different but, I found with my 5177 it required just a touch more fuel with a 100 shot and it really didn't affect my N/A tune. When I stepped it up to a 125 shot the car seemed to need a ton of fuel, I actually ran out of fuel adjustment with my Predator and had to get a custom tune. My N/A tune went to shit and the car felt slow as hell off the bottle so I dumped the 5177 for a TNT wet kit (not installed yet). With a wet kit you can pretty much dial in your A/F ratio just by jetting the fuel. The only adjustments you may have to make to your N/A tune is to timing and maybe small fuel adjustments if you have to smooth out your A/F curve. :)

im in the same boat as you Wildbill- here's what im gonna do.....
get LS1 edit, then when i get tuned, im gonna have a seperate "balls out" N/A tune, and then a "nice and safe" nitrous tune, then via laptop- i can change in between tunes anytime i want ;)

The only additional tuning I did (with LS-1edit) was to take a couple of degrees of timing out of my normal everyday tune. I have a wet kit, though, not a dry. All of the additional fuel you need with a wet kit is coming from the fuel jet, so you don't have to compromise on your everyday non-N2O tune. However, the general rule of thumb is to take out 2* of timing for every 50hp of N2O that you are going to spray. Less chance of detonation that way.

Muscle pretty much hit it on the head. It will depend on the kit and the amount you plan on spraying. This is why I like a wet kit. Other then taking some timing out, your n/a tune isn't really effected.
