once i start working this summer, i'm gonna be looking to lower my car.

problem is, i only wanna go down about an inch. i want to be able to get into my driveway. i think most springs advertise an inch and a half, but it's more like 2. i don't want my car dragging all over the place, i just wanna get rid of the 4x4 gap and handle better.

everything important is stock (exhaust manifolds, y pipe), i will have subframes installed though. i'll most likely be getting bilstein hd's also.

Personally, I'd recommend an Eibach Pro-Kit...I have some Ground Control stuff (see my write up in this section or in the Parts Review), but would do a Pro-kit if I had to do it over. The Pro-kit is a nice drop, and if you are careful, you won't scrape anything.

I have the pro kit but be warned, they go more than an inch. My fronts went 1 1/2" and the rears a full 2" which I decided was a little low in the back so I made spacers to lift them back up 1/2". I like my results but they do drop quite a bit.

how did you make a spacer??

got any before and after pics?

my other concern is that i have 11" zr1's in the back. i put them on with the stock ride height and the passenger side was rubbing against the wheel well. so i don't really wanna go down more than an inch

I made the spacers on a lathe. They sit under the spings. I'll post up a print I made.

Kinda hard to tell by the pics but basically with the spacers it has the factory rake but sits 1 1/2" lower all the way around. If you lower yours you might need to roll the fenders with those wheels/tires and an adjustable phr is a must. Hope that helps.
