Are these out yet, because I saw something like this from the road at my local Pontiac place, the hood scoops I saw on there, I thought ok they got one with an aftermarket hood in for trade... well it looks just like this hood...

why would you give up on it. Aside form the exterior its 11.7x better than any f-bod ever made. Just wait until next year's redesign to see if they can get the exterior right.

the more I learn about it the more I hate it. The rear bumper and spoiler are hideous IMO. The side skirts arent very different and the front (which i once thought to be an improvement) is simply a piece that is taped (yes, taped) onto the existing front bumper. These are already having problems which is a shame bc they do look better than stock. So the only piece of the SAP I will get are the front grill inserts.

Some of you geeks wouldn't know style or real performance if it slapped you upside the head. The GTO is a world class car, regardless of whether you like the styling. Concentrate on that instead of the pimply faced adolescant comments about how much cooler a Firebird looks. This car isn't to be compared with them, more like a BMW or AMG.

I'm picking up a GTO myself next month in Manual. How can you down talk a car like the GTO. In my opinion it looks great, they didn't make it all flashy, that way it doesn't look like a ricer.

it really depends on the markup. There isnt much of one so a big discount isnt likely. It would be nice if you could get one tomm. since it is the last day of GM employee pricing and you wouldnt have to haggle over price. Best of luck!

i jsut saw everyone trashin the gto and tryin to compare the ta to it so i figured i would weigh in. I just got rid of a 97 ws6 396ci 400rwhp ta and bought an 05 GTO. There is no comparison in the two. The t/a was fun and fast but to get that kind of power tons of money were spent on it and it was tough to drive everyday. The GTo is like a super car. RIght now its is completley stock and it is probaly just a couple tenths slower than the Ta. its quiter rides better and handles better. I loved the T/A but the GTO is in another league. If anyone knows when and where performance parts will be available for the 05s let me know.

The early years, depends on what year you are talking about. Some did and some did not. Not sure what that has to do with my comment on the 05. I just think they could have been a little more aggressive on the new design IMHO. That is my story and I’m sticking to it

Here is my GTO next to my 1971 LT1 powered 240z..... and it dosen't look like a cavalier to me.

Here is mine... I do not think that looks like a cavlier.... the 240Z is a 1971 running a LT1 small block with 2004R tranny and 3:90 gears... it hauls a$$ too. (i just sold the Z to a guy in california) The GTO will sufice :drive:
