Can it be used to help prevent detonation in N2O applications like it is on turbo'd cars?

Not sure, I know some people have done propane injection and had great success with it. Propane has a similar effect in that it richens up the mixture. There was a guy I met a while back that had propane injection on an otherwise stock Viper and weas running low 10's all day long. My only probelm with propane is that it is extremely flamable and I would not want to drive around with a proapne bottle in my car in the off chance I did get into an accident.

I had no idea you could run Propane on a gas burner. Still interested in the Alcohol injection because its safe, and cheap to refill.

I will do some checking and see if I can find any info on it.

I'm sure you could add an alky kit on top of a dry shot, not sure if anybody has done it, so tuning it might be trial and error. If you want to spray it on top of a wet kit it would make more sense to convert you nitrous/gas kit to a nitrous/alcohol kit by adding an alky noid and building a fuel system. Most nitrous companies offer alcohol noids and jetting charts if you wanted to go that route.

The alcohol I'm talking about is a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water, like what ricer guys use on there turbo cars to run more boost not alcohol race gas.

I don't know a ton about that but, I believe most of the GN guys have proven that water/isopropyl is not the way to go. Having a that combination was leaving way to much power on the table because of the water content. I supose you could run it just so you can squeeze alittle bit more timing out of the car but HP loss may not make it worth it. I think by doing a stand alone fuel system with race gas, you might be able to attain better HP results. Also, from what I understand one of the main reasons this set up is run is because when you increase boost you dramaticly increase your IATs, not really an issue with nitrous since it will already dramaticly drop the IATs. I think another issue might be intake and throtte body icing with both alcohol/water/nitrous set up.

Good link (http://www.turboice.net/documents/turbowhitepaper/waterinjection.htm)
I would say that it can be done but you are you going to need big shot on there to need it.

I agree with you, I asked my uncle about this subject (who is a nitrous guru) and he said the same thing about the temp of the N2O and alcohol. His suggestion was a second fuel source (race gas) with an independant pump that supplied fuel @ the same time as the factory fuel system for when nitrous is being sprayed only. This man runs a 3 stage 1500 shot on a 700+ cube all aluminum chevy based Keith Black motor.
