From an eariler post.

James sent me a 4th version (I did not use your 5th version yet). When I tried it orignally I was really leaning out with my O2 showing double digits only under WOT.

Let this be proof to anybody who thinks the fuel filter isn't that big of a factor in performance that it is! After changing it I reloaded the 4th version again and this time my results are a lot better, but not perfect yet.

During idle and part throttle my LTFT are negitive, but during WOT they go to about +4.5 + 5.0 with after O2 showing 890-900.

James, looks like since your next tune that I have not tried yet is stock it looks like I'm not going to be able to gain any HP with the Predator. :(

Any ideas? Thanks.

During WOT they should go to 0%. Since you go to closed loop mode. Are you sure your thottle is a 100% open?

Well Predator said I was at 100% TP.

What did James have to say about all that?

Did your trims get zeroed when you loaded the new tune?

If not, be aware that some of the lesser-used cells need
more driving time to "learn out" to their new value. The
learning seems to go with time-in-cell and STFT error
magnitude.

You might drive around with the real-time display, see if
you can find cells that retain positive trims, and look at
these same cells' STFTs to see if there is an "intent to
correct" or if they are going to stay there (large negative
STFT will continue to bring down positive LTFT over time).
Some of the toughest cells to learn out are the ones at
high TPS, high RPM, where under most conditions you can
spend very little time at once.

Well that sounds like good news. Some of the STFT have very large negitive numbers (-13-14). I will try to do some more harder driving this weekend.

Thanks.

Per the previous emails and the previous posts, I wanted you to use tune5, the newest one, to test in, please. The purpose of tune5 was so we could get a good starting point to go from, since it has your stock timing and stock fuel, plus stock MAF and stock injector scaling. This will help me determine just how out of tune you may be (if it's not something else contributing or solely the problem), and hopefully may help others on here in figuring out exactly what is wrong with your situation.

When all is said and done, as long as we rule out any other issue aside from the tuning, or we fix whatever may possibly be wrong outside of the tuning, then, yes, you will be able to get tunes that will allow you to benefit from optimized fueling and timing, so do not worry about that. What we're trying to do now is get you to that point.

Sincerely...

I'm not going to continue with this right now. I just threw a P0430 code. I'm going to take it so I can get the cats looked at.

Okay Chris, please keep me informed. I hope all goes well at the dealer. It sounds like 1 or both may be bad.

Sincerely...
