I was surfing the web when a call came in today. GM was calling to see how I liked my new GTO. I gave them my honest opinion (it's great overall but lacking in a few minor areas).
When he asked me what I would like to have seen in the GTO (i.e. what they should be working on), I was able to give them quite the list.
Even though I don't want them, I told them it needs optional hood scoops. I asked for more options overall, a bigger trunk with a passthrough, dead pedal, more power, dual exiting exhausts, 18" wheels, sunroof, and several other things. I don't remember the whole list but there were well over a dozen in all. I did remember to ask for several things that I don't want but I know people here have been asking for or complaining about. (XM radio, Onstar, "body kits" or more aggressive styling, etc.)
So even though I'm ambivalent about many of the complaints I hear on this board, I know GM takes the opinion of buyers a lot more seriously than it does places like this so I put in y'alls $0.02, knowing that some people are going to base their purchase decision on what comes out on the new models. And I want to see this car more accepted by the masses so it continues on well past 2007 when the contract with Holden expires.
