Not bad for ONLY a set of headers!!

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=893434&page=2&pp=20

Power before: 343 rwhp 335 rwtq
Power After : 372.7 rwhp 379 rwtq
( I let it cool down before the best run after)

Gain w LG headers 29.7 rwhp 44 rwtq
No tune, stock intake, stock mufflers

I will post up the graph tomorrow.

I still think the gains are valid since they are back to back. the numbers are in and it looks like we gained 29rwhp and 44rwtq. that is without a tune, and with 45 miles on it and stock muffler and intake. Just headers. The car feels very fast now and no wonder with 44ft pounds of torque increase. the gains start from the moment that the throttle is floored.

I will try to put an air bridge on tomorrow. I have to get my tech II updated to communicate with the PCM but right now we are at the mercy of the stock tune and whatever it wants to do with IAT readings etc.

thats a very nice increase from headers. the stockers must have been very restrictive.

i should start making ls2 headers, id make a fortune.

The front license plate bracket will take all those gains away.

I doubt the front plate will kill 29RWHP.:boggled:

Well so far you're the only one that's seen it before so it is new to some people. :p

This is old stuff. As I said, can these results even be taken with a grain of salt seeing THEY sell the headers???? :hmm:

Historically, the C5 got almost identical headers, so it's not like these are brand new, unproven parts. I hardly think that LG is BS'ing us with the numbers. They're impressive numbers and you can't take that away from the LS2 even if you're not an LG fan.

those are some good numbers from headers. I can't wait till we see some cam'd cars.

I have a 05 corvette, and it was Bassani Xhausts R&D vehicle. It was in their booth at sema for all those who attended. My vehicle layed down 341 to the wheels in stock trim, and 358 to the wheels with a X pipe and full system back.

Actually I have a question for Big Block Stingray? With your headers, are they smog legal? do they have provesions for O2 sensors? Bassani wanted to make a set for the car but said it was nearly impossible to make a set that could use the current O2 configuration, so with that said the only set I guess that will be offered will be a "off-road" only design. Also very impresive numbers for "only headers".

Hi guys, first post.
Nice numbers with the headers.
I had a question about the computer on the LS2. I was told by a friend that knows Graham Behan at LPE that this computer is a tough one to hack into and nobody has been able to do it yet. Is this true? He was telling my friend that he thinks inside help from GM is going to be required to do it.
Is this why you didn't have a tune done to the car?
