what will happen if I take a prokit off a lt1 car and put on my ls1?

good or bad

the LT1 is heavier- the front springs will probably sit higher in a LS1

Yup, plus they are progressive, rather than linear. Honestly, it just won't ride very well. Trust me, I've done exactly what you describe- :no:

If you have the same shocks, it'll ride/look/perform just like the LT1 you took it off of.

LT1's and LS1's really, somehow weigh pretty much the same (I've weighed an LT1 vs. my LS1 an it was 6 lbs. different). The thing I'd be concerned about is this: LT1 springs, aside from being progressive, are pretty stiff vs. LS1 Pro-kits. Stock shocks won't get along with them well at all. You'll end up underdamped (a little disconnected to the road when dips are involved, floaty feeling).
