Sounds interesting, I've sanded and polished some curb nicks. Its not that obvious.
How are you planning to do this?

Depends on how they are once the clear is off. Probably use aircraft stripper to get the clear off then go at the wheels for awhile with Heavy Metal polish and see how I like them. If they look as good as how they should have from the factory I'll reclear them and put them back on, if not I'll probably get out some jewlers rouge and a DA and go at them some more. Gotta test the ACS on some other aluminum to make sure it's safe and not going to screw anything up. And the wheels shouldn't need any sanding as they're smooth from the factory.

Sounds interesting...are you just trying to improve or did yours get messed up?

Just trying to make them look better, they just aren't very polished from the factory.

I just finished stripping the clear on mine last week. I polished them with some Mothers and put on 3 coats of Zaino. They look WAYY better than they did with the clear. My clear coat was very foggy and had stains. Now, everyone thinks they are chrome!
BTW-use that aircraft stripper outside...it is potent stuff!

I take it you took the tires off first? I don't know if I'm still going to do it, my buddy worked at discount tire so I got them mounted/dismounted for free but he quit and it will probably 40 bucks now :( .
You have any pics of them? It would really help convince me to do this. PLEASE :help:
