The LS1 powered Holden/Elfin MS8 Clubman and MS8 Streamliner were shown on the Holden stand at the recent Melbourne Motor Show. They were a joint venture between Holden and Elfin Sports Cars.

These low-slung racers - an open wheeler track machine and a smooth-bodied Le Mans style roadster - are retro-cool specials that recall an earlier motorsport era. The MS8 Clubman and Streamliner are aimed at the weekend club racer and historic vehicle enthusiast market and will be hand built by Elfin. The show cars point up the exhilarating performance potential that can be realised by matching Holden's Gen III V8, six-speed gearbox, limited slip diff, ABS and traction control systems to a lightweight space frame with custom suspension and other specialised racing componentry.
