I really want to give the z a new look but I'm not really sure what will look good on my car. I plan to lower it and put 315s all around on 17x11s  Not sure what wheels to get, any ideas? I also want to do some tastefull non-ricer interior mods. anybody with a monteray maroon car please post pics!
here is mine: http://photos.yahoo.com/terminatorx0420

if you want 11's on all corner's then go with some torque thrust two's (even though i think they are a little played out ) or ZR1's. Billet grill and clear corners are also a good idea.

use silver if you want to accent anything on the body. silver and monterrey marroon =
I have a maple red formula, so the colors are almost the same.

I think one of the first external appearance mods that should be done to any 98-02 Camaro is removing that ugly ass, cheap looking, stock grille and putting on an aftermarket one. Check out this link (http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1823) for some ideas...
I'm not a big fan of having no grille - but even that is better than stock. Check out this thread (http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7052) for some pics on that look.
take off the grille get a black billet grille and put clear corners.
tint and lowered, and maybe paint the back peice in between the tailights black :)

I agree with you mullet, the grill is the weakest part of the z28. thanks for the suggestions guys!

Here's what i'd do:
Tint it .... pretty dark (i didn go dark enough and i'm regretting it)
Wings West or SLP bowtie grille
black fill ins for the rear lettering
lower it
honestly, i think the 11's in the rear would look good, and do some 9.5's up front.
I prefer to keep my interior as stock looking as possible, but thats just my opinion.
Wheels and lowering it will make it look like an entirely different car, that's what I would do first.

Rims and Lower would be first of course. It took me about a month of constant looking and changing my mind to find my rims so I am not going to go there. Best interior mod I have done (other then the radio) was my silver reverse EL gauges!! So do some white face or Equivalent gauges.
The first day I had my car I changed front corner lights to clear, took black nose peice off, changed my rear lights. All the first day home from the dealer!!
