door rattle

Ok im sure this has been asked before, but seeing as how the site has been up for all of half a day, my search turned up nothin,

I have a very annoying door rattle on my drivers side door. Sounds like it is coming from the latch.

Anyone else had this problem, and if you did what did you do, or is this just another piece of GM quality?

Mine started rattling and the problem was the window track being loose. Car was still in warranty so the dealer tightened everything down and it hasn't come back. The sound mine made kinda came from all over the door area though, not really localized around the latch. Might be something you want to check out anyway.:cool:

i have had my window track, door locks twice, and speakers all rattle, everytime i took it into the dealer it came back worse try finding and fixing it yourself good luck;)

i was afriad that it would be one of those kind of problems. Oh well the joys of owning our cars right

it's really worth your while to learn how your door parts go together and especially how to adjust the windows since they are frameless windows. It could just be a clip for the rod that goes from the handle to the latch.

I know there was a TSB about the door/lock thingy rattling. The fix was to apply felt to the back of the lock.
