After the recent hurricane, we had to make some room in the shop for A LOT of work pouring in:eek:

This meant putting off the restoration process on my 70 T/A, but it had to be done:\

We had the guy stack all the body parts on a shelf and put the tarp wrapped body out back....

I had torn down my 98 T/A to repaint the bumpers before the storm, but had it towed home just to make space....

I have the Land Cruiser to beat around in, so I didn't mind putting it off:dunno:

Anyhoo, the complete rear suspension, rear end and driveshaft was left in the shop, but someone decided to put it outside near our scrap metal section:confused:

Just found out that the scrap metal guys came and picked it all up yesterday:no:

We don't have any way to contact them cause they're just random guys that come out every other week, so I'm sure it's long gone by now:o

It just makes me sick to my stomach and I'm too damn tired from a full day of chasing my kids around Disney World that I don't even have the energy to do anything about it:\

Someone's getting fired tomorrow though:mad:

The only person you should be angry with is yourself. You are responsible for the security of your streetmachines. Another key idea; it is never a good idea to have your personal cars at your place of work. Hopefully you will learn from this mistake and not do it again.

Damn dude that sucks but its better than having parts on a 70 T/A stolen.I had my #s matching carb and orginal left front fender ripped off.My buddy who was doing the work on restoring my 70 split half of his shop with someone. That someone decided I didnt need those parts so he "borrowed" them. I didnt find out till after it happend because my friend knew I would have killed him. He replaced the fender and the carb(correct not #s matching) with his parts.Oh by the way a correct Ram Air III auto carb is going for $500-$700.:(

Well, I'd much rather do the restoration at my shop than at my house:dunno:

It was one of our managers that set the parts outside to clear the shop out for cleaning and forgot to bring it in:mad:

He's trying to get in touch with the scrap guys, but I'm pretty sure I'm SOL:(

Yeah, it's all gone:(

Leaf springs, perches, hangers, brake assembly, brake lines, traction bars, yadda, yadda, yadda:o

On a good note, I'll be replacing everything with a new Moser 12-Bolt, disc brakes, Eaton Posi, Cal-Vert Split Leafs & Cal-Tracs:)

I would've much rather kept it original, but since the shop is footing the bill, I'm gunna go all out:cool:
