of street or offroad?
i got a 4x4 but i love making it faster also. i raced a ricer from 0 to 60 and :Owned: him hard on my way to grocery store.
i want a lift but i really like the fastness and furiousness of my truck when i race people.
i may have to eventually get a street truck sleeper 2wd. and make my 4x4 a mud truck.
what do you want from your truck? can you decide? are you being pulled in 2 different directions like me and cant decide?

I have always had a 2wd truck, my Dad bought 4x4 Duramax and it's nice to play with some times but all around I like Hot Rod truck. A few reasons I like my hot Rod is because it is easier to get in and out of if you live in town, easier to clean, and also the performance end of it all!! :D

dont have much in the areas of off road around me, so i will stick with the sport truck area. whats worse than getting your butt handed to you by a 5,000 lb truck?

I am a pavement pounder myself. If I am going to play in the mud, I would rather be on the four wheeler where I can get really dirty. :D

see with mudding etc, you cant just go mudding on the way to school, work, etc..
with a street truck, you got power, its always there, the street is everywhere you go, handles badass, looks unique, and is just badass..
im sure mudding is fun too, but its just somthing where you have to go out somewhere to do it.. and im sure bad things happen more often than good things while doing it.
so i have a sport truck, good luck!

not just mud, but snow, pulling stuff, just the capability of the 4x4 that i love having. but certainly there is nothing like blowing the doors off of a car in your truck. i love both, i cant help myself:help: :D

It just never made much sense to me to try to make a truck fast ... especially at the altitude I live at heh :D
I pretty much grew up driving 4WD's, and have owned 1 quick car in my life (god I wish I had another one) and I just don't really think I'd ever spend any money trying to make a truck fast.
Making one a hell of an off-roader is another story alltogether though :)

theres no snow or much of a winter here in south texas, so thats another reason..
and a 4x4 here where i live ... everyone and their mom has one.
so those are some other factors..
goodluck

Yeah, I am on the fence. This damn 5.3 is pretty quick but I am looking into lifting it one day with some 35's.
I guess I need to start saving for that stroker 6.xx and a 4L80E:D
Around December I held off a 2003 or 2004 Accord, the new ugly bodystyle. We were on a 2 lane highway with a short area about 1/8 mile where there was a passing lane on the right. He gave it a go and just to see what my truck would do I floored it. I was able to put about 2 lenghts on him and he had to pull back when the passing lane ended. I know I would probably get dusted from a start but man this truck moves.
After I took my turn off I looked and I saw his accord had the twin pipes and I knew then he had the V-6 rated at 240 hp. I knew this because I was gonna buy one but ended up with the Chevy. By the way my truck is a Xcab 4WD.

Trucks are not fast  . They are the best sleeper around. The 01thunder said. Priceless! Like a fast street truck. Do not need 4X4 for what I do.

offroading gets old and its more expensive to fix parts that are going to break ... i guess looking at the price of the ticket ie. street racing(jail time) vs. offroading(tresspassing or destruction of private property)....most important do what the chicks likecuz thats who we do it for

Negative... I do it for me! I have more girls get in my truck that DONT like me racing and driving fast than those that do. Although the girl I am with now... the first time she ever rode with me was down the track on a 12 sec pass. So I think she may be a cool with my driving habbits. :D

Hell I just now got my wife to go to the Spring Break Shoot Out. and I have been doing the racing thing for a few years now. she thought it was fun, but its not why she married me. hell She hates my truck because I take care of it better than anything in the house
