if i get the wings west kit, do i need to replace the side skirts or are they basically the same? i really only like the front air damn but i'll probably put the rear skirts up...but am i wasting money getting the whole kit since i have the stock side skirts on??? anyone know?

Some places allow you to buy each piece individually, but I can't think offhand which ones they are. It would be worth looking into the prices for each part versus the whole kit.

im thinking that they must be almost the same thing, and if that's true then it's pointless to buy new ones, paint them, tkae off the old ones, and then mount the new ones...if it's a just a tad off i'll scratch all that work...it wouldn't be worth it.

On a Trans Am the Wings West front piece looks good with the regular TA side skirts, however there is a little difference between the regular Trans Am side skirts and the WW side GFX, just take a look at a Trans Am with the whole WW GFX kit and compare it to one with just the WW front GFX piece and with both pics being a roughly the same angle you will see the difference. I think the WW side GFX stick outward a little bit more than the regular Trans Am GFX. Which ever way you decide to go your car will still look good.

if i just bought the front piece would it look stupid if i kept the stock side skirts on and didn't add the extra pieces to the back??

Not IMO, here are couple of pics showing the difference of a TA with the full Wings West ground effects, and a TA with just the front piece.

Well, I just put on my WW GFX and I bought the whole kit. We took off the rocker panels and the WW side skirts in my opinion are better. Tad bit lower than regular ones. Plus they look better. And you can buy them separate if you want. Overall I like the whole kit on my car. I have to agree the front clip looks great!

We took off the old air dam and replaced it with the WW air dam which is stronger and bigger. You need a bigger one, so the engine doesn't overheat. Plus, having this bigger one allows you to know if you are about to drag or rip off your front clip. It sits about 2 1/2 inches off the ground. My air dam now drags in my driveway and other places where there are inclines and then a big dip. My air dam came with my whole kit. I bought all 6 pieces together.

no prob....funny thing..once you get the kit on..you tend to panic about any dips in the road. I won't hate to pay that much for the kit and paint and then I rip it off.

good luck;)

I have just the front piece and it looks great, i've seen the side skirts and they look odd to me, also my buddy with the kit has had a lot of trouble trying to make them fit right.
