I was wondering how fast a stock v6 firebird could go?? (When speedlimitor would kick in)?? I have had mine at 125mph.

100% bone stock and not a freak 118 is when the fuel cutoff is i believe.
now if you have the limiter removed i believe you can wrap it out to ~160ish but it would take a few miles to do so if you even have the power to overcome the aerodynamic forces present at those speeds.
my speed limiter is set at 130. i can hit it easily.

a reprogrammed 5 speed w/all bolt ons went 145mph on a dyno
with wind resistance like on an actual top end run who knows probably 135-140mph.

Yep, stock limiter is 118. Your speedo said 125 because at that speed it's not always accurate. your computer, however, knows how fast you're going and will shut down at 118.
BTW, there's no way in hell a stock V6 FBody will hit 160. LS1 FBodies can do it, but we can't. Look at it this way, as speed increases, wind resistance increases exponentially. If it takes ~300rwhp for an LS1 FBody to do it, a sub 200rwhp FBody doesn't stand a chance.

118 is fuel cut
Teufel thanks for the backup...or else these v6ers will get their panties in a bunch but I assure you BONE STOCK you aren't going much further than 130 if that fuel cut is removed. 146 on a dyno...gee...no wind resistance. I'm sure I can run my I-4 to 165+ (or wherever 5th redlines) if you put me on a dyno
