I have a mostly stock 02 WS6, and have a spare set of 16" firebird twisties... what tires should I buy for track use only?

I do NOT want to break anything, so nothing TOO sticky, please.. and maybe not too expensive?

Thanks for the help.

Nitto 555R drag radials would do just fine. You will get good traction and with your car being mostly stock, you shouldn't have a problem with breaking the rear! They should be less than 300 for both tires...

You might be in trouble if you shock the rear end with any drag radial. The Nittos or BFG's will suit your needs.

Which BFG's? When I look at the specs online, there are several makes.

look for the BFG drag radials, they use to be called Comp TA drag radials

I have seen M6 cars break rear ends with nittos.
And even more break rear ends with BFG Drags...

Not saying it'll happen to you, but don't push it. The only true safe way it to just shoot for MPH at the track...
